Welcome to Mclarens Landing Corporate Events
The number one corporate event destination
This exclusive event will introduce delegates to one of Australia’s natural wonders. South Stradbroke Island (“South Straddie” to the locals) is a largely uninhabited island covered in subtropical forest on the northern edge of the Gold Coast. It is home to the golden swamp wallaby (found only on this small island), as well as many other native species. Here delegates will feel like privileged castaways living a life of bliss in the “land of milk and honey”.
The adventure begins with a short 13 minute coach transfer from GCCEC or Jupiters Hotel and Casino Gold Coast to a mariner where a flotilla of luxury 32 meter catamarans await. Boarding these craft, delegates settle back with a cold beer or glass of wine to enjoy the pristine surroundings as they glide over the Gold Coast’s stunning, calm waterways at sunset. Bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles and dugong (the world’s only strictly herbivorous sea mammal unique to Australian waters) flourish in our unpolluted waters.
Forty minutes later delegates arrive at this exclusive island venue for a night to remember. McLaren’s Landing is like no other place. Situated on a still-water private beach and featuring all-weather, island style thatched dinner pavilions that are nestled in a bushland setting, McLaren’s Landing will have delegates marvelling at how quickly they arrived in the wilderness. Under flaming torchlight and with the aid of hurricane lamps, delegates will see glimpses of the indigenous nocturnal animals that call “Straddie” home, as giant monitor lizards, bandicoots, and sugar gliders all regularly welcome guests.
After this greeting, guests will enjoy another typical Australian activity – a feast fit for a king of fresh meats and seafood, delicious salads, damper (bread) and Aussie desserts all prepared by international chefs. Just the meal to fortify oneself for an evening of dancing under the stars or chilling out on the veranda lounge to music performed by the 8 piece big band. This night of nights in paradise concludes with a high-speed journey back to mariner’s Cove for hotel transfers.
Coach transfer to marina is 10 minutes followed by a 40 minute high speed catamaran to McLaren’s Landing. The evening commences as delegates board the high speed catamaran enjoying pre dinner drinks and canapés with full entertainment prior to arriving to the Island. Delegates arrive at the island at 7pm and depart at 10pm .
